Laminate worktops.

The most popular and cost effective worktop is a laminate work surfaces. The improvement in modern print technology, surface structure, means no compromise on design and style and quality of this practical material. They also have matching up stands and splash backs.

They now come in various thickness from 25mm to 50mm. The thinner worktops are becoming more popular and designers are moving towards thinner worktops.

They are fairly hard wearing. Generally they cannot be repaired.

Solid wood worktops.

Some say you cannot beat the beauty of natural wood. Wood finishes like European Oak, Black Oak, European Walnut, Maple and Beech. They can be sanded and worked on. On negative side they needs oil treatment twice a year. Two to three times the cost of laminate.

Acrylic. Solid Surface Worktops.

Seamless joints, smooth uninterrupted surfaces, integrated drainers, undermount sinks are all features of this beautiful and tactile material. Can be sanded repaired and polished. Whether being used in a domestic kitchen as a work surface or commercial project such as hotel, retail, healthcare or transport, the design capabilities are endless. Hot pans 240 degree's. Can be repaired. Three to four times cost of laminate.

With the trend of thinner worktops these start at 12.5mm thickness then 15mm 28mm 40mm or more.

Prices vary a lot depending on the type, quality and colour. This is also the case for granite and quartz.

With a high gloss surface finish and the high performance making it one of the choices for a modern kitchen. Quartz is man made it is made using granite and resins it can be hard to see the difference between quartz and granite, granite being total natural. Many lovely colour finishes. Controlled colour. Four to five times the cost of laminate.

Looks very similar to quartz the main difference is it is not altered by man it is as it came out of the ground, just like wood totally natural. You cannot be sure of getting the same colour design from each piece which is why quartz is used in most cases.

We also supply Marble Stone and Stainless Steel.
